DESCRIPTION

Pavilion is an architectural structure composed of hexagonal covering panels and lateral support panels. With Pavilion it is possible to protect large areas from sun and rain, creating large canopies inspired by nomadic tradition with a contemporary look. The frame of the covering panel is made with a special extruded aluminium profile. The uprights and partitions that form the structure of the lateral panels are made of steel. The joints connecting these elements determine the different inclinations of the panels. The covering fabric is attached with a system that makes assembly and disassembly operations simple.

Pavilion has been designed in accordance with NTC regulations, Norme Tecniche delle Costruzioni (Italian Technical Construction Standards). When properly fixed to load-bearing surfaces, Pavilion guarantees resistance to wind loads of up to 70 km/h; beyond this limit, the covering panels detach from the structure while remaining partially anchored with a safety attachment.

The waterproof covering of the hexagonal roof panels and lateral support panels can be made in white polyester canvas or in Madras and Tamil, exclusive Paola Lenti fabrics. In the event of heavy rain, rainwater can be drained from the covering panels thanks to the zippers they are equipped with, which allow water to flow through without having to remove the fabric covering.

Pavilion was selected for the ADI Design Index 2014. It won the Interior Innovation Award 2015 established by the German Design Council, the MIAW, Muuuz International Design Awards 2014 as one of the most innovative products of 2013, and the Good Design Awards 2013 in the outdoor structures category.
